I began working with Japanese air-drying clay in 2010, drawn to the possibilities of a material that allowed me to build form slowly and entirely by hand. Over time, I developed my own process, creating individual elements and bringing them together into intricate, dimensional compositions. After many years in London, I moved to France in 2022 and am now based on the French Riviera.

Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world. As a scuba diver, I am fascinated by the structures I encounter underwater — coral formations, marine organisms, repetition, movement and the apparent randomness of forms that are, in fact, highly organised. Botanical and microscopic structures have become equally important to my work.

I don't try to reproduce these forms literally. Instead, I take their rhythms, patterns and irregularities as a starting point, allowing each work to develop through the process of making. The result sits somewhere between sculpture and abstraction: tactile, organic surfaces that invite closer inspection and, often, the instinct to touch.
